Art Speaks Japanese Comes Alive!

The objective of this contest is to encourage students to engage with the resource kit Art Speaks Japanese, by creating their own artwork based on the resource.

In three divisions (Primary, Middle, Senior), this contest requires students to create an artwork using any medium of their choice.

Entry Deadline: 28 September 2012
Prizes: Students artworks will be judged by two judges from the Art Gallery of NSW and prizes will be awarded in each division as follows;

1st Prize :  Goods valued up to $100 from the Gallery Shop, Art Gallery of NSW & the Japan Foundation, Sydney
2nd Prize:  Goods valued up to $75 from the Gallery Shop, Art Gallery of NSW & the Japan Foundation, Sydney
3rd Prize:  Voucher valued at $50 from Intext Book Company
Class Award:  Voucher valued at $50 from Intext Book Company
All participants and schools will receive a participation certificate.
Please note prizes are subject to change depending on judges' decision.
Contest Exhibition: All entries will be on exhibition at the Japan Foundation, Sydney gallery
Dates: Wednesday 10th October – Wednesday 31st October
Gallery Open Hours: Mon-Fri 11.00am – 5.00pm
Special weekend open gallery: Saturday 13th October 10.00am -3.00pm
In conjunction with the 43rd Australian Japanese Language Speech Contest
   
 
Teachers are encouraged to bring their students to the Japan Foundation, Sydney for a centre visit to see their entries as part of the exhibition!

All entries will also be displayed in a virtual gallery on this website after the contest.
